Dear Ruben, Some time back you were kind enough to assist me in my request for the price list of tax free cigarettes sold to European Union Commission employees. Please find the said list attached. For you information: Thank you again for your help.
Cover letter from EU .... >Dear Mr. Buckley, Please find attached the list of tabacco products, civil servants of the European Commission may purchase tax free once a year. This list is part of an overall list including spirits. The total amount of products which may be puchased is 1800 Bfr. >I would like to stress that this opportunity is the only, very limited, "tax privilege" offered to European civil servants on a regular basis, which has to be compared to privileges offered to expatriated civil servants of Member States. >I would also like to indicate that the Spokesman's Service of the Commission is normally deailing exclusively with professional journalists. This explains that the different persons with whom you have been in contact in this Service may have asked you your profession. The fact that we are dealing normally with journalists does not, of course, excuse Mr. Weidenaar's unacceptable behaviour towards you.
