In the Czech Republic, cigarette consumption is increasing by 4% per year. 43% of

men and 31% of women smoke, including a third of the doctors, half the nurses, and

the country's minister of health. Philip Morris has bought the state tobacco company

and has locked up 80% of the Czech market; Philip Morris officials refused to speak
