Petition: Human Resource Management Award to Ceylon Tobacco Company Should Be REVOKED!

Target: Director, Post Graduate Institute of Management; Council, Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka

Context:
Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC), a Sri Lankan subsidiary of British American Tobacco, was recently presented with the Overall Human Resource Management Award by the Post Graduate Institute of Management and the Institute of People's Management (semi-government bodies), for the second year in a row. CTC was also the recipient of the "Most Innovative Human Resource Practices Award." The award ceremony served to further bolster CTC's "socially responsible" public relations campaign.
