Context:
We would like to address your attention to the fact that Ministry of Finance (Mr. Gogiashvili) enter lament to the General Procurer of Georgia against the National Counter Tobacco Counter (Mr. Kobeshavidze) on the situation regarding tobacco smuggling and illicit trade in Georgia.

This fact is pressing on the civil society, which really would like to change current hardest situation in this field in Georgia.

    You are one of the democratic ruler in this region and we hope that interests of democracy doesn�t violated from the governmental organizations. We strongly support efforts of NGOs in your country to defense health rights of humans and restore economical situation.

    We�re hoping that you will use all mechanisms for defense of civil society from the pressing of state officials, who couldn�t fight against shadow economy and who are responsible in this regard. Addressing attacks to NGOs means that agencies of the Ministry of Finance really have corruption cooperation with the tobacco industry and monitoring from the side of civil society is damage this symbiose.

    We�re sure that you�re really first fighter against corruption and democratic development of your country who will not admit violation of representatives of NGOs from the side of governmental agencies.
